If you don’t have a car or can’t drive, оne-day organised trips are the best way to explore some of the beautiful places in Scotland. There are a couple of companies which offer trips every day with a starting point from Glasgow or Edinburgh. The tour I booked with some friends was with Rabbie’s, from Glasgow to Oban, Glen Coe and lakes and castles of the Highlands.
It was the middle of May 2016 and the weather was awesome, sunny and just a bit windy, which for Scotland is the best weather you can get. The starting point of the tour was next to George Square. The driver of the minibus was our guide as well and told us many stories about the places visitеd. The whole trip was very entertaining, we listened to Scottish music, learnt new things about Scotland and saw scenic places.

As an avid bookworm, I like to visit the second-hand bookshops every week, to browse for something new to read. I have become familiar now with the bookstores that the West End has to offer and have a few favourite ones.
In April 2016, I booked a trip to Harry Potter Bridge and Silver Sands of Morar with Student Tours Scotland. Following my 2016 Bucket List Challenge, I wanted to visit Glenfinnan Viaduct (a.k.a. Harry Potter Bridge) so I was thrilled when I found out about this trip. As an avid Harry Potter fan this was the dream tour, however, I was even more excited to see the Silver Sands of Morar, after I saw a couple of photos of the beach. I just couldn’t believe that such a place exists in Scotland. So, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to see it.
