The other day, my boyfriend and I were talking, and I said how much I miss the fact that the bar in Holland my friends and I were usually going to have a place to hang your jackets under the table. Here in the UK, I haven’t seen such a thing and it’s so inconvenient trying to find a place for your winter coat or jacket. So, I was thinking what other things I miss and I've managed to narrow the list to only 5 things I miss about living in the Netherlands.

A year ago, my boyfriend and I went to a wedding together for the first time. The wedding took place in Ohrid, North Macedonia, one of the most beautiful and breathtaking places to get married at. Being Bulgarian, I have heard about the beauty of Lake Ohrid since I was a child, as there are even songs written about it. Ohrid was on my travelling list for a long time so I was super excited about visiting and especially for a wedding ceremony. If you are looking for a small, historic and romantic chapel to get married in, the Church of St John of Kaneo on the rocks overlooking Lake Ohrid is the best place. That is if one or both of you are Orthodox Christian. The other can get christened before the ceremony, as one of our friends did.
I really love the one-day organised trips from Glasgow as for me this is the perfect way to visit a lot of places in a day with a tour guide. You might have already read about my Oban trip with Rabbie’s which I took a few years ago with my friends (here). The first trip my boyfriend and I took was the Oban and Western Highlands Castles and Glencoe tour with Discover Scotland or a trip discovering Scottish Castles, eating the best seafood, visiting Glencoe and a haunted inn. They had a bit of a different itinerary to the Rabbie’s Tour, so I was excited to visit some new places as well.
