I love Christmas markets so I was curious about the Christmas markets in the Netherlands. After talking with friends who had been living in the Netherlands for a year before I arrived, I decided that I want to visit the Christmas market in Maastricht. So my friends and I booked our tickets with excitement for the trip. Little did we know what was coming! The day started with a bit of snow, and turned into a complete winter fairy tale. The perfect time to visit a Christmas market. But you can judge that for yourself once you see the photos.

As a student, travelling in Holland was a bit expensive. I visited Amsterdam a few times last year to explore the city, but since I had already spent 40 euros on a return train ticket, I didn’t want to spend much more. Thus, I looked at what I could do there spending a minimum amount of money. Here are my 7 suggestions for cheap or free attractions if you are exploring Amsterdam on a tight budget.
On day one of the 30 days blog challenge, I will share with you my experience at Eindhoven Glow, 2017. The first time I visited Eindhoven was for the annual Eindhoven Glow event and it was spectacular. It was a true festival of light, as even the theme for the event was The Source, as in the source of light. The whole city, every building and street, was glowing. With the amazing, futuristic architecture and the interpretation of the theme by artists, Eindhoven was simply magical. |
